September Goals

Sept Goals

In months past, I've done a series of posts called "Monday Motivation" which I wrote {you guessed it} every Monday.  Originally, the idea was to share my personal goals with you in hopes that it would light a fire under my rear end to get things done, as well as to allow you to share yours with me {if you wanted to}.  I also thought, while I was at it, I could give you all some encouraging words {like remembering to see the big picture or counting our blessings instead of others'}.

This whole idea of goal setting posts is a good one {in my humble opinion}, but I just didn't like how I was carrying it out.  For one thing, coming up with "words of wisdom" to inspire is a tough task to ask of anyone... especially bright and early on a Monday morning.  {Can I get an "Amen"?}  Plus, a week just didn't seem long enough to tackle some of the goals I had set {though I tried to keep them as reasonable as possible - following my post on "How to NOT Set Goals".}

So, I stopped writing Monday Motivation posts for a while {although I still feel 100% the same way about Mondays}.  I took that time to think and pray and think some more...  I still wanted to share my goals with you all {and I always want to encourage you}, but the solution just wasn't coming to me.  Then, God provided an "A-ha" moment, as I was reading Biblical Homemaking and Sarah Mae: instead of sharing goals once a week, why not share just once a month?  {I think I really did say "AHA!"... It was also one of those why-didn't-I-think-of-that-moments, too.  Anyone else have those moments?}

Now that I've given you the back-story {what can I say... I am a bit of an over-sharer sometimes}, let's get on with this new once-a-month goal setting party, shall we?  We can call it a party, right?  I think it makes it sound a lot more fun than it really is...

What are your goals for September?
{Can you believe it's already September?!?}

A HUGE "Thank You" to Amy from New Nostalgia who featured this post on her weekly Anti-procrastination Tuesdays Linky Party for September 11th, 2012.  If you write on anything related to getting things done {not procrastinating}, simple/intentional living, or healthy eating, be sure to join the link up HERE.

Blessings,
