Technically, we still have two more days in September and the plan was to wait until the first day of the next month to update you all on whether or not I met the previous month's goals and to share my goals for the following month. However, that's just not going to work.
Why? Well, in case you haven't noticed, there's a new button on my sidebar:

That's right, friends. I'm participating in The Nester's 31 Days Series. So grab a button and follow along!
What is it? Well, basically, you choose one topic and write about it each and every day for the month of October. The topic really can be anything: click HERE to see last year's topics. It really is as simple as that.
I decided to write about professional homemaking: taking your role as a homemaker seriously. It's all brand new content that is going to help you become a more intentional home manager. Trust me, you won't want to miss this!
What does that have to do with the reason this goals post is early? Well, as I mentioned earlier, the plan was to write and publish this post on October 1st. But, seeing as how that day kicks of the 31 Days to Professional Homemaking series, I thought it best to go ahead and update you all on my September goals, as well as share what my October goals are, today. Hope you don't mind.
So... without further adieu, here's how I did in September:
PERSONAL
* Read My Bible Daily - Doing the Colossians Study with Good Morning Girls - I am involved in the this Bible study, but I'm not doing as well as I had hoped. I wind up reading the entire week's passage at once and then read each day's verses as I have time. I really need to do better at this!

* Wake by 6 AM Daily - It was more like 6:30 am most days but, you know what? Good enough is good enough, right?
* Participate in Peak 313's Living and Active Fall Challenge - Totally bailed on this, unintentionally. I really want to go back through it and do the challenge on my own.

* Reading through Frumps to Pumps - Once again, I didn't complete this one. Honestly, there are so many books and eBooks I want to read through and I'm really bad about book-hopping. This is one I really need to dedicate some time to dive into though, as the frumps have creeped back into my life here lately.
MARRIAGE
* Following along with the Revive Your Marriage series {Every Monday in September}, featuring: Courtney from Women Living Well, Darlene from Time-Warp Wife, Sheila from To Love, Honor, and Vacuum, Jennifer from Unveiled Wife. - Well, I technically followed along as I did read the posts. Actively participating though... not really. But, I have been more aware of my actions towards my husband and am trying to be the kind of wife he needs.
MOTHERHOOD
*
* Create a List of Chores for Him {Easy ones, as he's only three-going-on-four-years old.} - Nope. He is already responsible for cleaning up toys; I just want to give him more chores in the near future.
* Fix Little Man a REAL Breakfast Each Morning {Not just cereal... *ahem*} - I did this more often than before. However, once the ear pain started, the cereal box came back out. *sigh*
FRIENDSHIP/FAMILY
*
* Commit to REALLY Praying for Someone When They Ask - I tried. I really did. I don't know, though... this is one of those things were the busyness of life creeps in and squelches it, you know? Going to try harder.
HOME
*
* Get Back to Doing Whole House Pick Ups - This one was hit or miss. I did try, but it didn't always happen. Yet another thing I need to fine tune.
BLOG/BUSINESS/EBOOK
* Keep Up with Consistent Blogging - Yep. Well, once again, the ear pain knocked me off my feet, {therefore, off the computer} for a little while. I think I did okay, though.
* Brainstorm Virtual Organizing Ideas - Nope. Didn't even think about this one much. Honestly, still praying for direction on this one.
* Write One Chapter in eBook - Um. Yes and no. I definitely worked on it and I have an outline ready to go, but I haven't finished a chapter yet. Honestly, I'll probably need to enlist my hubby's help to get it done {as in, asking him to watch Little Man while I work}. Otherwise, I don't see how other bloggers do it...
Okay, so, a few things to note about these goals:
* When I place the blame on my ear pain for not reaching a goal, I'm totally serious. You may not realize this, but I have been dealing with this pain for most of the month and I've been doing all I can just to keep my head above water. So, I'm pretty happy with what all I was able to accomplish.
* Also, I realize that I really did set too many goals. From now on, I hope to focus on only one thing at a time, per category.
Now, on to October...
