Friday Favorites - 7.13.2012

{Heart} Fridays

I'm not superstitious or anything, but I admit to being amused that it's Friday the 13th.  Regardless of the date on the calendar, though, I'm just glad it's Friday, because it means that I get to see a lot more of my hubby {who doesn't have to work on weekends}.  We don't have any huge plans this weekend - just working and relaxing around the house.  What about you?  What are your weekend plans?

As usual, before I share my favorite pins from this past week, I want to let you know what went on around here, in case you missed anything:

SATURDAY
I shared five articles/blog posts that resonated with me and thought you might like them.

MONDAY
Why it's important to develop a big-picture perspective when it comes to life experiences.

TUESDAY
The first in a new series all about creating a room from a color palette.

WEDNESDAY
For those who prefer putting pen to paper, this is a round up of ideas to help you get organized.

THURSDAY
This post was pure fun for me, as I got to pretend I was a bride-to-be all over again!

I gotta ask, which post was your favorite?  What kind of posts would you like to see more of?  For example, should I look into trying out some recipes or putting together a "Fall Wardrobe Guide for Busy Moms"... or should I just stick to decorating and organizing.  What do you think?

Now that I've bombarded you with a million questions, sit back, relax, and check out what has inspired me on Pinterest this week:

WEAR IT

Definitely need to get myself a pink blazer!

STYLE IT

Chloe from The Chloe Conspiracy looks super cute in this outfit, but the reason I pinned this photo wasn't for the clothes; it's for that hairstyle.  I hope I don't offend her by saying that it totally reminds me of a 50's style Barbie doll, but that's precisely why I love it.

MAKE IT

Everyone knows IKEA is THE place to find inexpensive furniture that is perfect for a good ol' DIY project!  I came across this particular idea at Poppytalk Handmade, which features the TARVA dresser {only $99} painted in peachy ombre.

DECORATE IT

We all know that I have a slight obsession with love of coral and gold, but this picture has me pining away for coral and navy blue.  In fact, I feel like I may have my inspiration for my next Color Confidential post.

COOK IT

You know how you go to a Hibatchi restaurant and you get to eat that delicious soup {not sure what it's called}? Now you don't have to eat out to taste the same deliciousness, thanks to Carrie at Cooking wtih Carrie.  YUM!

***************************************

That wraps up this week's edition of Friday Favorites.  I hope it has inspired you try something new and, if nothing else, to enjoy the simple things in life... like pink blazers and ombre dressers.

If you haven't already done so, be sure to follow me on Pinterest because chances are, if you like this post then you'll like my pins.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your time spent with family and friends.  See you right back here on Monday for Monday Motivation.

*HUGS*
