As a woman, I know that maintaining our appearance {even just enough to look "decent"} can require a lot of effort and, sometimes, a lot of product. Finding a way to keep your bathroom countertops clutter-free while, at the same time, making sure everything is within easy reach can often be a challenge. So, today, I thought I'd share some great tips from around the web for organizing your beauty essentials.
UTILIZE YOUR DRAWERS:
{Confession: my inner fifth grader just giggled a bit as I typed that...}

This is an idea you've probably seen several times already, but it remains a classic solution for a reason: it works! Simply placing a utensil tray inside of a draw provides you with a way to separate all of your products so that they are clearly visible. One section can hold your eye shadows while another holds your foundation. Easy peasy!

Another similar, but slightly different approach, is to forgo the utensil-tray-turned-drawer-organizer and opt for plastic baskets that can be rearranged as your collection grows/changes. Also, a great tip is to attach these organizers to the drawer using Velcro, to prevent things from sliding around {thus defeating the purpose of all your hard work organizing your beauty products in the first place}.
PUT UNUSED TRAYS TO WORK:
Luckily, someone out there thought, "Hey, I can sit some bowls, plates, and cups inside of a tray and that will keep all of my stuff organized yet in plain sight!" Not sure exactly who that "someone" was, but wherever they {she?} may be... "Thank You!" ...

RE-IMAGINE AN OLD JAR/VASE:
If you're looking for a great way to corral those brushes, look no further than this idea from Liz Marie Blog...
Who knew that old jars/vases could be so useful. Plus, I love how she has categorized her brushes {eyes and face}, so she doesn't mistakenly use the wrong brush in the middle of a half-awake-half-asleep make-up application. Click HERE for the full tutorial.
Glass jars aren't just for brushes, though...

Why not make beauty products, like nail polish, a part of the decor by stashing them in a clear vase? Keep in mind, though, that nail polish isn't the only thing that deserves to be put on display...
Carlee from Deliciously Organized, created this awesome way to store her lipsticks. Not only does it look great, she can easily tell which tube holds what color. Plus, when her lipstick runs out {and the info on the sticker is smudged}, she can consult her handy lipstick "key" to know what to purchase for a replacement.
CONVERT A BULLETIN BOARD:
Yes, bulletin boards are great for gathering inspiration and keeping together those scrap pieces of paper that would otherwise clutter up your home's surfaces. But, they can also be converted into something greater. See?...

Everything is clearly visible and you can tell, at a glance, what you're running low on. Plus, with everything categorized {lips, nails, tools, etc}, your morning beauty routine will be a breeze!
